Provision for scholarships and stipends is made for students acquiring good marks in examinations. Besides this, the \u2018Kanyashree\u2019 programme of the state government can also be availed of by the girl students.<\/p>\n

D. COLLEGE INDUSTRIAL\/AGRICULTURAL WORKER SCHOLARSHIP<\/strong><\/p>\n

scholarships instituted by a well-wisher who is unwilling to disclose his identity, to encourage students hailing from the families of industrial\/agricultural workers, to be awarded to students securing lst\/2nd\/3rd position in the Part I & II Examination (combined) in any subject. General students may also be considered for these scholarships if students from the aforesaid background fail to qualify.<\/p>\n

PRINCIPAL JNANENDRANATH SEN SCHOLARSHIP<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A fond student of late Principal, J. N. Sen has instituted this scholarship. The student who scores the highest marks in Chemistry Hons. (Part I, II and III combined) in the district of Howrah shall receive this scholarship.<\/p>\n

BEST ATTENDANCE AWARD<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

D. College Teachers\u2019 Council gives this award to a student who attends the highest number of classes (at least 75% or above). Former Principal of the College, Sri Keshab Mukherjee introduced this award in the name of the Teachers\u2019 Council in 1993-94.<\/p>\n

PRINCIPAL JNANENDRANATH SEN CENTENARY SCHOLARSHIP<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This scholarship has been instituted by Principal J. N. Sen Centenary Committee in 1995-96. The scholarship shall be awarded to the Chemistry Hons, student of the College who gets the highest marks in Hons. (Part I, II and III combined).<\/p>\n

NIRMALYA BAGCHI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Sailen Bag of the History Dept. of this College has instituted it for the highest scorer (Part I, II and III combined) in History Hons. Prof. Bagchi was a reputed History teacher and the former President of WBCUTA.<\/p>\n

SURESH CHANDRA SARKAR SCHOLARSHIP<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Late Prof. Charu Mohan Sarkar instituted the scholarship to be given to the student securing highest marks in English Hons. (Part I, II and III combined).<\/p>\n

SAROJ HARI SCHOLARSHIP<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Late Prof. Srinibash Debnath instituted these scholarships to be given to the highest scorer in Botany Hons. (Part I, II and III combined) and Botany General (Part I, II and III combined) respectively. This scholarship was introduced by Prof. Debnath in the memory of his late parents Sarojini Debnath and Haricharan Debnath.<\/p>\n

PANCHANAN RATANBALA BAG MEMORIAL AWARD<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Sailen Bag, retired Professor of the Dept. of History, introduced 2 prizes to be given to the top scorers from among the boys and girls of History Hons. Examination (Part I, II and III combined). Prof. Bag instituted this award in the fond memory of his parents.<\/p>\n

SCHOLARSHIP FOR HANDICAPPED STUDENTS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Narasinha Dutta College Siksha Karmi Union has instituted this scholarship. The handicapped student securing highest marks in the B.A.\/B.Sc.\/B.Com. General Examination (Part I, II and III combined).<\/p>\n

Prof. Sailendra Kumar Bag, retired professor of the department of History, awards the top scorer in History Hons, in the B. A. Examination (Part I, II & III combined).<\/p>\n

UDAAN SCHOLARSHIPS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

An organization \u201cTERAPANTI\u201d has approached us for providing these scholarships to the first year Under Graduate and Post Graduate students. This scholarship shall be provided to students qualifying an exam to be conducted by the organization and students fulfilling all basic norms namely (a) economically backward, (b) having 90% attendance and (c) meritorious students.<\/p>\n
