Department offers courses at Undergraduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) levels. It runs 3-year B.Sc. (Honours &amp; General) courses in Mathematics and 2-year Post B.Sc. course leading to the degree of M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics (Self-Financing) affiliated to University of Calcutta. Both UG and PG sections are under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) from academic session 2018-19. College authority initiated M.Sc. course in Mathematics in the academic session 2010-2011 on recommendations of NAAC PEER Team visited for the first cycle assessment in the year 2007. Right from its inception, the department has striven to set high standards of teaching. The department has regular faculty with diversified expertise, for example, Functional analysis, Operator Theory, Topology, Algebraic Topology, Quantum Field Theory, Operations Research, Optimization, Algebra, and Complex Analysis. Along with regular faculties, many highly qualified and experienced guest faculties from other colleges, Universities and National Institutes have been rendering their valuable service to this Post-Graduate section in Mathematics. Department organises Departmental and National Seminars in different field of Mathematicson a regular basis by inviting eminent Professors and Experts from reputed Institutions.
