Year of establishment : 1941<\/strong><\/p>\n

The department was established in 1941.It offers Economics honours as well as economics general courses. Interdisciplinary courses of Business Economics is also offered for the students of commerce department. The department is like a family where the teachers and students are involved in the teaching-learning process not only during class hours but also beyond that. This department has got the glorious tradition of human resource development with its students involved in varied professions catering to different segments of the economy.<\/p>\n

Students ‘ Seminar (webinar)<\/strong> on ‘Contemporary Issues of Indian Economy ‘ was organised by the department of Economics on 20th July, 2021 and 23rd July, 2021.<\/p>\n

First volume of the departmental magazine<\/strong> of the department of Economics, ‘Economic Outlook : An Enquiry into Indian Economic Issues’, was published in October 2021.<\/p>\n
